MIL-C-38999 Series III: D38999 Connectors
CONNECTOR DESCRIPTION / PRODUCT INFORMATION:
The D38999 connectors were developed for the high demands in aviation. MIL-C-38999 III series connectors feature weight-reduced and space-saving designs. Composite connectors achieve weight reductions of 17-40% over aluminum and 60-70% weight reductions over stainless steel. In nine housing sizes and up to 128 possible contacts, the D38999 connectors have very good electrical and mechanical properties.
The following contacts can be used with the D38999 connectors: Crimp contacts, solder contacts, PCB contacts, wire wrap contacts, coax contacts, twinax contacts, triax contacts, themocouple contacts, fiber optic contacts, filter contacts.
The D38999 circular connectors are available in the following housing types:
D38999/20: flange socket
D38999/24: box with central fixing
D38999/26: Cable connector RFI
Crimping tools for D38999 connectors from stock
The crimp contacts are processed with the crimping pliers M22520/1-01, M22520/2-01 or M22520/7-01. SZ Elektronik supplies the crimping pliers M22520/1-01, M22520/2-01, M22520/7-01 and the matching crimping dies, as well as the installation tools and removal tools for the pin and socket contacts.

SZ Elektronik delivers these heat shrinkable molded parts with and without hot melt adhesive mostly from stock or within 48 hours. Preferred are the heat shrinkable parts according to VG95343 from the manufacturer Tyco / Raychem from the series 202K or 222K.
