SZ Elektronik assembles the insulation displacement / IDC connectors of the manufacturers 3M, Erni, FCI, Harting, Harwin, JST, Molex, Odu, Samtec and Tyco / TE Connectivity to 10 to 64 pole ribbon cables. We assemble gray ribbon cables, color coded ribbon cables, unshielded ribbon cables and shielded ribbon cables in the grids 0.635 / 1.00 / 1.27 / 2.00 / 2.50 / 2.54 mm. We also offer ready-made cable assemblies with ribbon twisted pair cables and flat round cables. Processing includes cutting to length, stripping, punching, splicing, pressing in, soldering and crimping of individual contacts.
Application areas IDC / ribbon cable assemblies
IDC / flat ribbon cables are used wherever multicore cables have to be accommodated in a small space. The flat cable structure of flat ribbon cables is created by several cores that are connected with a bar in such a way that a flat cable structure is created. In most cases, post connectors with strain relief clamps are then assembled on both sides and ferrites are mounted if desired. But also the variant mullion connector - platinum connector is often requested by us.
